சடலங்களாக திருப்பி அனுப்படும் பணிப்பெண்கள்

கடந்த மூன்று தினங்களில்  மத்திய கிழக்கு நாடுகளுக்கு வேலைக்கு சென்ற 9 பணிப்பெண்கள்  இறந்துள்ளதாக செய்திகள் வெளிவந்துள்ளன.அரேபிய நாடுகளில் வீட்டு வேலைக்கு செல்லும் பெண்கள் பலவகைகளிலும் துன்புறுத்தப் படுகிறார்கள் என்று அமெரிக்காவிலிருந்து செயல்படும் மனித உரிமைக் கண்காணிப்புக் குழு ஒன்று சமீபத்தில் செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம் அவர்களுக்கான உரிமைகளை மீட்டுத் தரத் தவறிவிட்டது என்று அந்த அமைப்பு குற்றம் சாட்டியுள்ளது. மேலும் அரேபிய நாடுகளில் வீட்டு வேலைக்கு செல்லும் பெண்கள் எவ்வாறெல்லாம் துன்புறுத்தப் படுகிறார்கள் என்று அது 131 பக்க அறிக்கையை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது http://udaru.blogdrive.com/archive/600.html

2009 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மாத்திரம் 300க்கும் மேற்பட்ட  இலங்கைப் பெண்களpன்  சடலங்களை இலங்கைக்கு அனுப்பியுள்ளதாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனஇ;வர்களில் பெரும்பாலானோர் சித்திரவதைகளாலும் தற்கொலைகளாலும் விபத்துக்களாலும் இறந்துள்ளனர்.

The Foreign Employment Bureau says that nine Sri Lankan migrant workers have died over the last three days owing to various accidents.

These deaths have been reported from a number of countries including Jordan and Bahrain.

Incidentally, the majority of these reports have come in from Jordan.

According to Additional General Manager of the Foreign Employment Bureau L. K. Ruhunuge, a 19 year-old girl was among the victims and died while bathing.

Information has come to light that the victim died after inhaling a certain toxic fume.
